It will be very dif­fi­cult to find just one point of inte­rest here in Aus­seer­land. The­re are sim­ply too many wort­hwhile places to visit! One of the most popu­lar com­bi­na­ti­ons with our boat trip is to visit Loser in Alt­aus­see, one of the most stun­ning Moun­ta­ins in the regi­on. Despi­te impli­ca­ti­ons of the name, the views from the top of this moun­tain are defi­ni­te­ly a ​“win­ner”!

The­re is (espe­ci­al­ly in the Aus­seer­land regi­on) no such thing as bad wea­ther, just the wrong atti­tu­de — and a boat trip on Lake Grundl­see is for­t­u­na­te­ly pos­si­ble in (almost) any wea­ther con­di­ti­on! If you come to Bad Aus­see and are loo­king for an excur­si­on desti­na­ti­on inde­pen­dent of the wea­ther, then the Kam­mer­hof Muse­um is high­ly recommended.

The Alt­aus­see Salt Mine is at con­stant tem­pe­ra­tu­re all year round — and tho­se who don’t fall into the under­ground salt lake are gua­ran­teed to stay dry! The ​“Salz­wel­ten” (The Salt World) mines are cer­tain­ly one of the most spec­ta­cu­lar excur­si­on desti­na­ti­ons in Aus­seer­land.
