Grundlsee: excursion destination for school classes
Finding interesting and educational destinations for school excursions can be a real challenge. Luckily, here in Grundlsee you will find the perfect combination of fun, education and challenge. Children, teenagers and teachers alike will enjoy the informative boat rides, the forest walk to Toplitzsee and the group “Plätte” is always a highlight. We also have no age limit on our boat tours!
Time and weather
If you plan to take the 3‑Lake-Tour (Grundlsee-Toplitzsee-Kammersee) with your school group, please plan approximately 3 hours. This way there will be minimal stress and there is plenty of time for exploring along the way.
Most of our boats run independently of the weather. Due to the protective awnings on our large vessels on Lake Grundlsee, we can do trips in almost any weather condition. In the case of heavy rain or thunderstorms the trips across Toplitzsee can be cancelled. A large part of the tour is therefore always possible!
Safety standards
You can rest assured that Grundlsee is a very safe place to bring a school group. We have never had a student fall overboard and we plan to keep it that way. Our captains are very experienced with children and will make sure all precautions are taken to keep everyone safe on your journey over these beautiful lakes!
