The 3-Lakes-Tour offers a unique nature experience and explores places on the lake that are inaccessible without a boat.
The first leg of this tour is across Grundlsee, Styrias largest lake. Upon arriving at the lakes east end, there is a leisurely 20 – 30 minute walk up one of the picturesque paths to Lake Toplitzsee. From the west shore of Toplitzsee you will take a traditional wooden “Plätte” over the mystical dark waters. Arriving at the far end of Toplitzsee, it is only a few minutes’ walk up to the pristine waters of Lake Kammersee. After taking in the natural splendour of Kammersee area, you will make the same return journey via the paths and boats all the way back to your starting point in Grundlsee.
We recommend designating 3 – 4 hours for the complete 3‑Lake-Tour; the idea is to take your time and slowly enjoy the enchanting experience of these magical lakes. You can find a detailed description of the 3‑Lake-Tour here.
